Leak in resin tank

Formlabs 3+ 3D printer

My school system bought all of us CTE teachers this model printer. It worked fine and I do like the finish it gave to prints.

However, a resin tray split and spilled all the resin into the printer. I have been in touch with their technical support for many weeks trying to get it resolved.

First I had to clean up the spill, which I did and they sent me a replacement resin and a resin tray. It did not work, it would not detect the resin cartridge

Then I got a replacement Spring finger (which I had to purchase) . I replaced the part and it still did not work.
Then they suggested replacing the cartridge floor and sending the part free of charge. I installed the replacement and it still did not detect the cartridge.

Then I was told I would have to replace the printer and as it was just out of warranty, I would have to purchase a new printer.

I feel, as it was a faulty resin tank that caused the problem, it should have been formlabs responsibility to replace the printer once we had exhausted the repair options.
