Label size <2.0mm?

It seems as though labels smaller that 2.0mm are not available? Is there a reason for this? Maybe legibility for small font? I use a magnifying glass to view small features.

Thanks.

Hi @Andrew_W,

Honestly, 2 mm is a somewhat arbitrary cutoff. There’s nothing magical about that exact number. It’s just the smallest size where, in our testing, labels still came out reliably readable across fonts, materials, and orientations. Anything smaller and the results got too hit-or-miss to ship as a supported setting: strokes near the laser spot limit, characters blurring, residual resin filling in narrow gaps, etc.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe a smaller size could be made available with a warning that comes up bellow 2mm? Some of the parts I print are quite small (<Ø10mm) and have logos on them, so not much room for text. I use Roman numeral text like I, II, III, IV to identify versions.

Thanks.

Noted, I will definitely bring this up with our product team and we really appreciate the feedback!
