Increasing durability

My print is an electronics device enclosure and I’d like to increase the abrasion resistance. I’m wondering if I should coat my print (either black or white resin) with a clear protective finish, or if I should print with either tough or durable resin, and then paint.

And if the former, what material would do the job?

Tough does not offer significantly increased abrasion resistance over the general purpose resins, but durable does. It has somewhat lower stiffness than GP, but if that is ok for your application, that’s what you should try.
