Hollowing causes holes at corners

Hi there,

I am trying to print patterns for investment casting using Clear Cast resin. Currently when I am trying to hollow the STL in PreForm, at the corners it is giving thicknesses much less than the specified hollow thickness (playing with inner surface params has not fixed it). I am using 0.5mm thickness here as per FormLabs recommendation for Clear Cast resin. Using larger thicknesses this is less of an issue, but these are more likely to break the moulds.

This is resulting in holes in the print (different print but same issue below):

Is there any way to fix this within PreForm, or do I need to use 3rd party hollowing software?

Thanks for sharing your issue! I’ve consulted with the responsible team and their suggestion is to adjust the settings of the Hollow tool: Please try reducing the feature size and increasing the accuracy. Note that this will make operations slower and file sizes bigger.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Sophia, that looks better
