I printed a fixture that came out of the printer fine (3+) but it warped and shrunk slightly during curing phase at 80C for 120min. I think the hi temp cure is to blame so I want to run it in a couple stages, 60C for 60min, then 80C for 120min. I am using this fixture to cure epoxy at around 70C and need the fixture to mantain parallelism during application. The current fixture is too warped, the flatness is out about .050". Does the hi temp resin tend to shrink and warp during curing?
Hi @SectorMicrowave,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the part warping you encountered with High Temp. A few suggestions would be to ensure that the part is fully dry prior to curing (30+ minutes air drying), and otherwise try leaving the supports attached to the part during the post-cure if not attempted already. If the warping persists, please feel free to get in touch with our Support Team for a closer look.
