Formlabs Resin on other printers

I am interested in the Polyurethane on an Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra. Thank you.

Would you mind sending me an email at jessie@formlabs.com? We may have some options that are of interest.

All 3D printer resin can be cured by 405nm laser. so, Formlabs resin can be used in other resin 3D printers. Your 3D printer can use the Formlabs resin.

I just purchased my first resin 3d printer (Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra) after using an FDM printer for 3 years (Ender 3 V2, upgraded). I really want to purchase a Formlabs Form 3+ after visiting the Formlabs booth and having handled the sample prints that were on display at Open Sauce, however, I simply cannot afford it.

At the booth there was a hammer made from Formlabs Biomed Durable resin that was able to hammer nails into a 2x4 and I was left amazed and speechless. After speaking with a Formlabs engineer, and telling her my requirements, she had suggested that I try the Rigid 10k resin which has the heat deflection and stiffness properties that I need. I’ve already tried using PA6 and PA12, but layer adhesion was always a limiting factor.

Do you have printer settings for an Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra for the Rigid 10k resin? I am willing to jump on a call of whatever is necessary to be able to print using this resin,

Hi all,

I’m happy to say that we’ve just released settings profiles for 5 of our resins on third-party printers. Our Materials Team has developed settings for Tough 2000 V1.1, Grey V5, Clear V5, Black V5, and White V5 on the Elegoo Mars 4, Phrozen Sonic Mighty 8K, and the Anycubic Photon M2.

You can download the print settings here.

There is also a feedback form linked on the site through which you can request settings for other materials and printers. We don’t currently have plans to make settings for additional materials, but will keep a close eye on the feedback form to see which resins are most requested.

Happy printing :grinning:

Agreed. For years, we’ve bought expensive Formlabs resins that are frequently 3-5x the price of comparable resins.

:open_mouth: surprised how things have change. thank you Jessie for updating us on the fly
