Form 4 Durable V2.1 giving debris on build plate error even after cleaning

Please help. I’m having an issue where no matter what I do or clean, when I use my durable v2.1 tank it always gives the debris on build plate/in tank error. I’ve made sure the build plate is clean and the tank is clear of debris. I’ve also made sure to clean around the sensor to make sure nothing is getting in the way as well as print a cleaning sheet for the tank and it’s still getting the error.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas on what I could do to fix it? Is the tank done for and am I going to need to buy a new one?

Hi @dhudson55

If your printer is constantly throwing the debris detected error, we’d recommend to follow the steps from this article.
You already cleaned the tank and printed a cleaning sheet, so next up would be the build platform alignment.
Please double check if you’re on firmware 1.11.1 and you’re slicing your files using PreForm 3.44.2.

In case you’re still experiencing the error afterwards, please head into your printers menu → Settings → Upload Diagnostic Info to upload the newest diagnostics of your printer to our server and open a case with us in services, we’ll be happy to check if we can find anything in the data.

Kind regards
Jakob

I’ve been having the same issue since day 1. Brand new printer, brand new tank, brand new mixer, brand new resin… with the grey resin, I was able to tell it to ignore the error and had 2 successful prints. with the durable resin, same scenario, brand new printer, brand new tank, brand new resin, same debris error. Been printing cleaning sheets with no result… did you find any results performing any of the solutions indicated?

Hey @alexreyes_onq So sorry you’re experiencing this debris error - this definitely shouldn’t be happening.

If you updated to the latest firmware and followed the article steps above and still having this issue, we highly recommend reaching out to our Support team by phone or email to quickly get to the bottom of this and get you printing in Durable asap.

best,
Diana

Hello Diana,

I have not had the chance to filter the resin tanks but, what really upsets me, is that this issue happened the very first time I tried to print something… with a brand new everything (printer, resin tank, mixer and resin container).

The issue is not only with the durable resin but also with the regular grey resin.

I’ve only been able to do 2 or 3 prints but I’ve always had to tell it to ignore the debris issue…

I’m going to think that this is not normal behaviour for the printer… correct?

I’ll connect with the support team
