My Formlabs 4 continuously throws errors of finding debris by the mixer, even when the mixer is not even present. What can I do to troubleshoot? (I tried to ask ChatGPT but it didn’t tell me anything useful).
So I kept having this issue and I did the steps for aligning the build platform and this fixed the issue I would try this first also Formlabs site has just about all the information to trouble shoot problem or you can reach out to support.
Thank you, Matt, I appreciate. It’s very weird. When I switch on the printer, upon initialization the mixer goes all the way to the left corner, and then immediately throws a debris error. If I chose “ignore” or “retry”, it moves approx. one third of the way to the right, and throws again the same error. This is 100% reproducible and occurs even if I do not mount the mixer, hence I deduce that there has to be some internal problem. Is that similar to your issue?
no problem also in one of the older Preform updates it had a bug which caused this as well so if you havent updated in quite some time you could be dealing with that as another possibility.
It’s on the latest update, and actually I have a hunch that the issue has exacerbated since I updated the firmware. The issue comes up as soon as I switch on the printer, hence it cannot be the slicer software.
support has advised to do a factory reset. However, the printer throws the mixer error in mid-initialization, and then the reset button is greyed out because “printer is in use”. Any ideas how I can bypass it?
Do a hard turn off of the power switch
