The quality of my print was bad and it was like the resin is all over the parts, and some items of my part are not printed.
This is the first time it is happening and now my new tank is contaminated.
How can I solve/prevent this? How can I retrieve the good resin from the tank?
Can i pour this resin to a new tank to save some from throwing away?
@Arjuns, I’m sorry to see that you’ve had a print failure, which has left quite a mess for you to clean up. There are some things you can do to save your resin and get back to printing as soon as possible.
Depending on the resin, you can run a cleaning mesh to try to remove all of the pieces of cured resin in the tank. If you do not have that option, you can filter the resin.
Looking at your print, there seems to be some delamination, which is usually related to dirty optics or a worn-out resin tank. I suggest contacting Formlabs Support to help determine the cause of the print failure. A good first step is to check your tank’s lifetime and clean your optics.
@jessbuck Hi, thank you for the detailed explanation.
I recently changed the tank and cleaned the optics (33 print hours before).
I think the reason is at some point, one of my part fell off from the table and it got mixed with the resin in the tank.
