ESD Resin Tricks

Hello everyone,

Do you have any tips or tricks for using ESD resin with the Form 3? We have been working with this resin for a couple of weeks now, but we keep encountering failures.

Starting with a fresh new tank, we notice that after a few prints, the cured resin sticks to the tank’s film, causing incomplete parts. Even after cleaning the vat, there are always some small cured resin particles, and we have to filter the resin and start with a new tank. On average, after 50 hours of printing, we have to change the tank because of this issue.

We are using extra density and higher touch point sizes compared to other resins, but we still haven’t been able to solve this problem.

Hi @MujdeG thanks so much for sharing your question here. I’m sorry you’re having issues, let’s dive in and get you back to printing asap!

Based on what you’ve shared and talking it through with product experts, it seems there might be an issue with optics rather than the tank or resin itself. The tank lifetime for ESD resin should be 5x that at around 250 hours of printing (you can find more info here) so 50 hours is an extreme outlier.
