ESD Part Fail

Printer type: Form 3BL
Material: ESD

  1. In the Formlabs website, you guys recommended 70 C for 60 min (Formlabs Cure) but my parts keeping getting warped. What can I do, so I don’t warp my parts?

  2. My final ESD parts look great from top and sides, but the bottom is completely destroyed. What can I do to fix this?

Hi @Ricardo13,

  1. A few things to check would be leaving the supports attached during post-curing and making sure the part is fully dry before post-curing. If this was already the case and the part warped regardless, you may see better results by removing the supports before post-curing, then weighing the part down during the cure.
  2. Parts printed on supports will always have worse surface quality on the surfaces that are supported. If you had printed the part parallel to the build platform on supports, I would recommend placing it at an angle as described in Model orientation best practices for SLA printing. Alternatively, if the part has a flat base, you could consider printing it directly on the build platform without supports. Lastly, you can use the techniques in Removing support marks to improve the surface quality through post-processing.
