Cast Resin for aluminium parts

Hello,

My company is working in aluminium parts made by lost wax casting.
They tried Castable Wax 40 some years ago without success.

Mainly because of the coating not sticking to the resin, but also because of the burnout temperature that was not obtainable with our ovens.

I saw that new Castable resin dropped and we wanted to try our luck again.

Did anyone tried to cast parts in aluminium by any chance ?

I don’t know if I know of anyone who’s done castings with True Cast in Aluminum, but I know quite a few that have had success with Clear Cast (on thicker parts). If you have small parts True Cast is the right choice, if you have larger ones, then go with Clear Cast. Both of these will require a burnout temperature of > 600 °C (1100 °F) to make sure all the organics are clear, the rest of the cycle we generally propose is based off of our particular investment of choice (Prestige Optima). Would be curious if anyone else has tried True Cast with aluminum though!

I’ll check with our foundry about the burnout temp that we can achieve, if compatible we will definitely try Clear Cast and True Cast and see how that goes.
I’ll keep you updated if we are able to have any result
