Be able to rotate the supported part during layout

Hi all,

It would be great to be able to rotate the part during layout to get the optimum orientation for example the longer supports towards the hinge side.

you can go back to the orientation tab to rotate the Z axis only and it will not remove the supports but I agree it would be nice to be in the layout section.

Yep! @Thomas_Judy is exactly right. Here’s a quick demo of the workflow for rotating a model once it’s been oriented and supported. I use this to help arrange parts on the build platform when I don’t want to use the auto-layout.

There may also be a keyboard shortcut for this, but I’m not recalling it at the moment. If I come across another tip, I’ll be sure to share here.
