Anyone know if the blue spectrum of light will cure the tough resin?

I’m a dentist, have multiple ways of curing composite when the photo initiator responds to blue light, curious if only ultra violet will work with the form?

Thanks, Mike

Great question, Mike. We sometimes use ambient light (e.g. windowsills) for simple parts at the office, but with the shorter days, I think all of us are looking for more sources of light!!

On a more serious note, the materials team at Formlabs has done some in-depth research to understand the effect of different light wavelengths and temperatures on the post-curing process. We do find specific UV wavelengths to be significantly more effective for the right mechanical properties.
