What do the different printer settings do (Gray / White / Clear)

In a few threads, I’ve seen people discussing that you occasionally get different results if you choose a different material in the printer settings.

Is there any furhter information available about what the printer does differently if you choose ‘gray’ over, say, ‘white’ or ‘clear’?

Each setting is for the type of resin you use. Grey for grey, white for white, and clear for clear.

Thank you, but that wasn’t really what I was after

I was wondering, specifically, what the printer changes between the different colours. Does it use different exposures? Does it slightly change the layer thickness?
