Yes, you can do this with alcohol dyes/inks

I don’t even know what they are, but they’re pretty. Do you recall the proportions used?

They were some production parts for this: QuikBow® - Arbutus Medical
I have a YouTube video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iEuNNGL4xs

Note this was before the Form 4 - which would have saved me a ton of time if it existed back then

We added around 70 drops total of three different colors (sapphire, navy and magenta). The exact proportions are going to differ depending on the color you’re going for.

These drops get put straight into the resin cartridge, shaken up, and then printed with standard settings (in this case, Biomed Durable).

Good luck! :crossed_fingers:

We just throw our parts in our Dye machine

Like, after printing? So the Dye machine like paints them?

You can use a can of transparent tinted paint and clear coat on top. This is how we made the lenses for this one

ya after printing throw in a pot or machine with Dye it doesn’t paint them more like tints the clear

Formlabs has an article on this which covers many of the techniques we’re all talking about: Formlabs Medical: The Ultimate Guide to Dyeing, Painting, and Coloring SLA Parts | Formlabs

WOOOAHH!

Are you adding the dye to the tank only or to the resin?
