Timelapse for Fuse 1+

Dear Formlabs Team,

Some of your social media content includes timelapse videos coming from the Fuse 1+ camera.

Why is this still not available to clients as well? I already raised this via email months ago and I was told the team was working on it. It shouldn’t be a very challenging feature to deploy in my opinion.

Kindly,

Edouard

Hi Edouard,

If you are running the latest firmware (1.22.x) and have print image collection enabled, you can find the print video in the printer history logs. You can learn more about this here:

Hi Edouard,

thank you for reaching out and sharing your suggestion!
While we don’t have any timeline for a timelapse tool similar to the one on Form 4, it is already possible to access video data of your Fuse 1+ prints. You can find more info on that here: customer_v2
These videos are mainly meant to facilitate troubleshooting, but could theoretically also be leveraged for the creation of timelapse videos for visual purposes.
I hope this helps!

Best,
Sophia

Its possible but its buried in a hidden menu and you have to review the logs to identify the video you are looking for.

Short of requiring code, this couldn’t be less user friendly.
I wish formlabs priorities were customer needs, not corporate greed.

Thank you all for your replies! It’s good to know that it’s technically possible, I’ll give it a try. And as Robert mentioned, it would be better to have something user-friendly that isn’t deeply buried

Again. I really wish we had full camera access.
