Luckily I still have warranty on the machine so they will pick it up and fix it.

I did not know that. Haven’t had a reason to delve in to the F2 mechanics yet. Where I have had to take my F1+ apart twice to clean the glass…
I ran the diagnostics as requested by Customer Support and they have confirmed that the ‘optical system has degraded’.
The whole process was very straightforward - Run a test print, take some photos and send them the pictures.
If you are having similar issues then I’d definitely recommend contacting them.
All we need to do now is arrange to get it repaired.
Why do you predicate something if you even don’t know by yourself then? Quality instead of quantity of information would help the people.
How many hours on that laser? Curious why it would degrade so quickly. Thought led laser they use is good for more than 10k hours no?
