Hi wonder if anyone experience some crashing issue with the latest Preform?
It happened when I manually edit my supports, once I delete 2 or 3 vertices, the preform software crashed. It kept happening each time I restart Preform.
Can you specify your Preform Version ?
I’m on 3.50.2.555 and have no issue for the moment
@NormanSCK Thank you for posting about your computer crashing after updating PreForm. Not everyone is affected, but there is an issue with that version for some users. The current solution is to roll back PreForm and ensure you disable automatic updates until the next version is released.
To do that, make sure you uninstall PreForm completely from your computer and use the link above to download the previous version. Once it’s installed, go to Help>Check for updates and uncheck the “Automatically update PreForm to the latest version” box. Make sure you click “Apply.”

Same here - no issues when manually adding/removing vertices from scratch, but trying to add/remove to an auto-generated support scaffold causes a crash. Definitely an issue with the 3.51 release.

Same here, i was crashing very consitently! If you want to stay with the current version, you can remove the translucent scaffolding view in the top right of the working window. That removed the generated scaffolds and everything became stable again.

Can confirm similar bug here, W11, PreForm v3.51.0.567… crashes consistently and very ungracefully when trying to manually add supports to a model with auto-generated supports already applied. What the screen looks like before PreForm basically disappears without any warning or dialogs, hangs for maybe 5 seconds before doing so.
This release definitely needed some more cure time in the oven of software QC.
I am having this issue as well. Software crashes when attempting to edit supports.
Any fix for this yet? You guys are usually great at critical bug fixes, but this is STILL unusable for manual supports (most of my prints). This is getting a bit ridiculous.
@jamesp The latest release 3.51.1 should resolve the issue. It was released on August 29th. I apologize for not posting here for your convenience. Let me know if you are still having issues after updating to the latest PreForm.
It looks like the fix worked, but apparently the updater does not. It was telling me I was on the latest update, despite not being on the latest update.
