Pre-heat with part inside or preheat then put in part?

I’m sure the order makes a difference, however so far I’ve placed the parts in a Cure L and ran the default programs (so part is inside as the preheat goes on).

I’m curious as to if there are people out there who preheat the cure without anything inside, then put the part in once the oven is up to temp to then start the UV cure.

My thinking is that the part getting UV cured while still heat soaking will change properties significantly.

I pre-heat the Cure L without the Elastic 50A parts inside as its the recommend practice stated here :
Form Cure (1st Generation) time and temperature settings

I usually follow the guidelines from Formlabs unless I run into issue for my parts.

I believe the UV doesn’t turn on until after the preheat, better to get the prints closer to temp than just the oven in my experience anyway. But my Cure 2 wll have lights turn on during preheat but the UV only turns on after, if I remember the Cure 1 was the same.

The parts should be in during preheating to avoid cracking.
