I just read how an entire camera, including lenses, was printed on a Form printer. Since I had a minor upgrade job for a costume which included a lens, I figured I’d give it a try. What a pleasant surprise!
It’s not scientific, just a Boolean square and sphere intersection, but for cosplay it’s quite acceptable. This was printed at 50 microns in Clear Resin V2 on the Form2, then sanded with 1200 grit paper, then rubbed with automotive polishing compound. I wanted to see how clear I could get it without resorting to coating it with clear spray or more resin. I think it came out pretty well!
