I found an inexpensive paint stripping knife that seems to be alcohol and resin resistant so I cut some slots in it with my co2 laser to make a sort of kitty litter scoop. Lead edge is nice and smooth and the grates should catch any lumps and artifacts floating around. Just a little weary about dragging a metal edge across the silicone pad, they say it won’t harm it but any slight scuff might pose a problem later. Will keep you posted on how it works out.

For the most part the scoop works really well and picks up quite a bit. However when I have a horribly bad print failure I haven’t been taking any chances and I dump the tank through a paint strainer into a metal pint can (cheap light proof container).
