I am using the Clear Resin, and I find it extremely fragile,
The curing for those parts can be achieved by:
1.UV light in certain temperature
2.UV light in room temperature
3.Living the part outside in the sun for a few hours
4. Leave it inside for a couple of days
All those processes resulted in what seemed to be a fully cured parts.
I have 2 questions:
1.Does the process of curing affect the mechanical Properties of the part after it is full cured?
2.Does the process of the curing affect the final color of the Clear resin? ( sometimes it gets a bit Yellow after a short time, sometimes not…
Curing will affect the strength of the resin–Formlabs recently did a study on best results for curing the resin. Best method is about an hour curing with warm temperatures.
As for discoloration, the newest formulation of clear does not have as much of an issue.
Thanks for your reply.
Do you think that the standard resins will be more fragile if their curing proces isn’t perfect?
Is on of the standard resins less fragile than the others? (Clear /Black /Grey)
Best regards.
