Hey all together,
here I would like to share my latest version of my home made “Ultra Violet Curing Box” with you. I didn’t like the stuff I found on the internet up to now: Either a pretty high price for ready-to-use solutions, too small chamber sizes or just trashy versions out of cans with LED stripes. My goal was to stay <150€ for the whole assembly and my Form 2 was supposed to stand on the chamber as there is pretty limited space in my FabLab. The exact price of all parts is 139,44€.
I used an Arduino Nano to bring everything together and make each curing circle run for 120min with 60°C heating if required. With two illuminated push buttons you can start the UV-light cycle of 120min and with the second button you are able to start and stop the 12V heater. For the heater I installed a temperature sensor to check the current temperature in the chamber and to run on the right temperature. Attached you’ll find a part list for the stuff I ordered on the internet.
I designed the G23 lamp sockets on my own and will post the files on thingiverse.com later. The transparent handle to open the box is my own design as well. It has four pins in total going through the front to collect the light from the inside when the box is activated.
Best regards
Merlin
