@Mallen material shortages are something we try extremely hard to prevent and limit. Being a core part of our business (Not much value in users running our hardware if they can’t get hands on materials for them). June we ran into an unusual hurdle with our supply chain and it left you and many other users in a longer than intended lead time. This was a combination of a large spike in demand, and difficulties in getting raw material to replenish it.
To help resolve this issue we have since added additional warehouses to our network to allow us to store more material as well as use this to help reduce shipping time by having warehouses closer to the end users. We have also just deployed in July a new set of tools to help improve communication with users about lead times and availabilities (you may have noticed the website change last month).
It’s still a currently ongoing process that we don’t expect to have resolved until the first week of September but our entire supply team has been heads down working on this.
