Introducing: Formlabs Support Youtube Channel

Hi everyone! My name is Vic, and I’m a Training & Development Specialist here at Formlabs. I’m so excited to be introducing our Formlabs Support YouTube channel, which has been such a passion project for me and the team.

As part of our dedication to giving you the tools to bring your ideas to life, we have launched video support content for our printers and post-processing hardware. These videos will cover common maintenance, component replacement, troubleshooting, and advice on how to bring your prints to the next level.

I’d like to highlight a few topics here that we’ve already covered:

Our ask for the Forum Community: What learning methods do you prefer for troubleshooting your issues? What topics would you like us to cover in future videos?

Please share your feedback! What works for you, what doesn’t– I’m eager to hear your thoughts so that I can make better videos that work for you.

These videos will be hosted on YouTube, but will also be available via articles on support.formlabs.com.

Please subscribe to the channel, like the videos that helped you work with your printers, and keep any eye out for more videos! There’s a new video every week – Tuesdays at 10AM EST.

Thanks so much and happy printing!

Vic B.

Very helpful, I watched the Fuse videos before getting it and it was really great to have this reference.

Now this is good news. Gonna check em out even tho i got a few years on the Fuse 1 series already and actually racked up over 10k hours on our first machine, it is now in the hall of fame.

Just had a look now and that you say after 100 hours clean the optical cassette i spat out my coffee, this is something you MUST do after every print. After a 24 hour print my cassettes are so foggy that i cannot see thru them anymore. And also vacuum the bottom of the print enclosure after each use. Another thing i always do is clean the interior walls, filtercompartment and doors with isopropanol to make sure you get that laurolactam off.

Please note that we run our printers basically 24/7 so this is a must, atleast on our case.

Thanks @Andreasemilsson, so great to hear that your printers are serving you 24/7! While that frequency could require more frequent cleaning, your cassette getting that foggy that quickly could indicate that might be something impacting air flow. I’d encourage you to reach out to a Customer Support expert who could help identify if there’s a way to optimize that.
