How to remove support-base where it’s not needed?

Why like other slicers, PerForm doesn’t have a lattice base option to reduce resin consumption, and lift resistance?

Hi @Selim,

Thanks for writing in!
It looks like this could be solved by changing the orientation of the part to orient it at an angle. See this thread with a similar problem for comparison. We’ve taken note of this issue nevertheless.

Hope this helps!

There’s no way to do this AFAIK unfortunately. I have wished there was before as well.

I totally get the frustration - PreForm can be really conservative with that base. One thing that helped me a ton was switching from the ‘Full Raft’ to the ‘Mini Rafts’ option in the support settings. It breaks the base up into smaller islands, which saves a surprising amount of resin and makes it way easier to pop the parts off the plate without a hammer and chisel!

Personally I’ve found mini rafts to be incredibly unreliable. The failure rate for prints will go up significantly due to them breaking off the build plate.

As some of the other users have mentioned, you CAN use the mini rafts. From there you can change the radius of to a maximum of 10mm or a minimum of 2mm. I’ve found it quite useful for situations similar to what you’re experiencing.
