I am interested in smoothing finished parts without sanding them. I saw this article in Hack A Day and wondered if it might work on acrylate parts made in the Form I. See:
You never know until you try. But keep in mind, smoothing is not the same as printing a smooth part. That is more like…blurring all the details away.
I read the same article and bought some parts… paint can, magnets, solvent. No dice. The vapor solvent does not work on the Formlabs resin, only on ABS plastic. At least according to my tests.
