As of now, there is not preset profiles for in the Form Wash L for their in house Resin washing Solution. After contacting support, the only way to monitor the saturation level is to purchase a hydrometer on my own which I found a bit ridiculous. The main reason we bought their solution was to have the process streamlined from one manufacturer.
Maybe once the parts come out stick after a wash will be a good time to change it then you’ll just have to monitor it.
We just bought a Hydrometer for the specific density that is recommended, was about $30. And I just check it every week or so depending on the amount of prints we are doing.
That’s what they recommended to me as well. Working for the federal govt, its not quite as easy as “just buy this cheap thing”, especially this time of the year where the department budgets come into play. It would be months before I could even think about buying anything else.
At the end of the day, I just wish it was something they would have made clear to me before buying so I could have included it in the original purchase. Or I would have just bought off the shelf IPA as it seems they have a set profile and built in monitor for that. its just surprising to me that they don’t have that option for their own product.
You could use the supplied one that comes with the Form Wash possibly, just calibrate it with a tank of fresh wash solution?
The Form Wash L unfortunately doesn’t come with one.
The best visual indicator is to just keep an eye on it for a color change. it looses transparency with saturation.
Seems to me any competent manager could see their way to a $6 accessory to save $150 of IPA (assuming you can’t convince them to buy you a $150 still off of amazon and a heating element to recycle 80-90% of your IPA..
