I have a couple of older cartridges that are labeled “Rigid, V1.” I purchased a used Form 2 a while back and these came with the unit. And while all the resins are old and out of date, I’m still getting fabulous-looking prints using really-old model resin (on a newer Form 3). I don’t want to dispose of it unless I have to, however…
Looking on the website and in the options in preform, I don’t see Rigid V1. I see four different versions of Rigid in preform, two of which are apparently not for home use because they are apparently very, very bad for the air.
So… what is this mysterious Rigid V1 of mine? Is it something I need to immediately dispose of (like the 1000 or 650)? Or something I could use in my home (like 10k or 4000)?

I think it’s probably a 4000 v1, because initially the 10K was probably not planned. When the 10K was released the Rigid was renamed to 4000.

Thank you for the quick reply. A quick look on the forum boards and it looks like rigid 4k causes a lot of people some trouble and it degrades tanks really quickly. I guess now at this point, I’m not sure if I should try to print stuff with it or just toss it.
But… it also looks like you’ve printed some stuff with it before. Any tips or warning with the material?

Yes it is very aggressive with tanks, pour it use it and clean it immediately, even when it’s not supposed to put resin back on the cartridge after use In certain cases it’s needed because if you are not planning to make more parts you will kill your tank.
