Mixing Clear V4 and V4.1

Last week I had a large and urgent print job, and unfortunately I had only a tank with Clear V4 resin, but I hadn’t any cartridge. So I placed a rush order for more Clear resin (since the transparency was mandatory), and unexpectedly I received the V4.1 version.

I ended up needing to mix the two versions, almost a 50/50 ratio to print a 700mL part. After reading a bit here on the forum, I was worried that the print might show a visible line or different transparency levels. I even dropped some resin into the tank just to check the dilution, and I could clearly see different phases… Not a great sign, but I had no choice, I reprogrammed the tank and started the job. :eyes:

But here’s the result: a beautiful and uniform part. So if anyone needs to mix these two versions, don’t worry, it will probably turn out just fine.

Same here, but I had like nothing of v4, so I discarded it. The level of transparency of new v4.1 and color(not yellow) is very nice.

Yup, I’ve even mixed V4 and V5 together successfully for a short duration. A lot of these formulations can be mixed together and I’ve done it for transitioning over to newer releases.
