I have found, on more than one occasion, that new resin tanks shipped in the new cardboard tank box often contain cardboard particles attached to the resin tank’s interior membrane and the backside mylar film. If not cleaned prior to use, these contaminants become entrained with the resin and obscure the clarity of the Roller Holder Assembly’s glass window.
I am surprised that FormLabs has shifted to this packaging method instead of retaining the plastic storage cartridge, which could be reused and cleaned if necessary to minimize any contaminants. Consequently, it is now up to the end user to inspect and remove any contaminants before commissioning a new resin tank. This new packaging represents a step backward, placing onus on the end user to ensure quality prints, minimize unwanted contaminants, and deal with a shorter useful life for the cardboard resin tank storage box.
If it’s not getting recycled properly, it can end up causing a lot of environmental damage.

I don’t think its a hobbyist ecosystem. Formlabs are a commercial grade machine. good for you for getting into this level of equipment as a hobbyist!
