One issue that keeps coming up is people taking shared models and reselling them without permission. I know some designers prefer to keep their models private for this reason, but for those who do want to share, what are the best ways to protect your work?
Are there specific licensing strategies, watermarks, or even design modifications that make it harder for resellers to profit from someone else’s hard work? I’d love to hear from those who have successfully tackled this issue.
This is an everyday thing over here in LATAM, so problematic that for example Gambody even blocked access to their site if you are from LATAM.
What specific models have you find out? You have to keep in mind that if the model is free nothing prevents anyone for using as best as it fits, and moreover if an image exists nothing prevents a good 3d artist or cad modeller to create it.
