I just wanted to share this new trick I’ve learned for removing supports off Elastic resin.
I’ve always had a spray bottle of 80/20 percent Novus plastic polish and mineral oil for polishing sanded prints without a super oil feel…but I recently learned that this is also SUPER HELPFUL when removing supports from Elastic resin prints.
Elastic prints are very tacky, especially in their green state. This can make it hard to get your finger in the touchpoints and also leads to bits and pieces often getting stuck on the surface.
If you spray some of this mixture on your hands and the print, it makes things way easier, and also allows you to wash away little bits that would otherwise get stuck. You could probably use any oil, but I like mixing because it allows you to spray and it’s not as oily as pure oil.
