High-mileage Tank life on Form4?

Just happened to notice one of my tanks is showing 120,000 layer prints.

None of my current tanks have less than 75,000 - Black V5 resin (and flex heads)..

Kinda curious what mileage other folks are getting on tanks.

anybody else?

When your tank starts to fail what are the failure points?

I’ve been super-happy with the tank life.of the Form 4 tanks, especially with the Form 3 tanks not ever having a spectacular longevity. I’ve got one tank Formlabs sent me ages ago for beta testing with around 170K layers and still printing perfectly. I have had only one failure, on a not-so-old tank, but it was because a failed print damaged the film. I printed around the bad spot for the remaining prints in the production run, but did need to replace it after that.

Understanding resin tank longevity is important for maintaining print quality and optimizing operating costs in resin-based 3D printing workflows. Resources such as the Formlabs Resin Tank Guide provide useful information about tank usage, maintenance, and expected lifespan. I also found this overview of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) helpful because it highlights the importance of lifecycle management, monitoring, and preventive maintenance when evaluating long-term equipment performance.
