# What type of Casting Investment for Castable Resin?

Hi. I am writing on behalf of a jewelry instructor so forgive me if I get the terminology incorrect.  
She has been told that the Gypsum investment that we have is not compatible with the resin based castable resin.

Can someone clarify what we should be using for an investment?

Thanks so much for your question! The easiest way to get walked through the process is to read the guide I’ve attached below. This will walk you through every step of using our Castable material.

“Plasticast with BANDUST has proven to work best with Formlabs’ Castable Resin. Plasticast is also compatible with mixed trees that include wax and resin parts and can be used within the same burnout cycle.”
