# Unable to generate supports

Hello,

New owner of Formlabs 3B. I have a couple of files that will not generate supports. Others work fine. I have no idea why some files work and some don’t. Is there some kind of tool for checking the files that Preform doesn’t generate supports for?

Edit: tried on 3 different computers with different specs, all fail to generate supports for the same files.

Thanks for taking the time to post! If it’s not too much trouble, is it possible to post a screenshot of the part that’s giving you trouble? If you wanted to also include an example of a model that works fine, that might be helpful as well. 🙂
