Tank LIfespan with Tough 2000 (and rigid, and a few more)

We just had a tank fail almost exactly like that. Tough 1500. A 10mm slit in the middle of the tank left to right. Our first tough tank failure out of maybe 20. Does anybody know how it is the tough resins damage the tanks? Does it make the soft bed brittle?

I can’t tell if the tough materials are fiber filled… I use the rigid materials more than any other FL materials. Due to rigid 10k having a high glass fiber count it wears down the tank very fast. My first tank lasted less than 3 months before tearing…

I would assume the tough family of materials has some fibers in the makeup of the material.

I believe the chemistry itself attacks the plastic. It’s corrosive.

That, not fiber content, is what limits tank life.
