Found some resin had leaked from the tank so removed the tank, cleaned up the spill, emptied the tank to discover the crack shown in the image.
No resin on the mirror but it does look like a little has got into the seal holding the mirror in place.
After reading the various responses to the post mentioned above and analysing our procedures we suspect the problem is due to the resin tray issue that sometimes requires you to give it a slight anticlockwise twist in order to seat it and align it properly.
maybe or maybe not.
Glad to hear that you were able to catch this while cleaning the tank. If you get in touch with our support team, we’ll help to investigate the cause of this and work to ensure that it doesn’t occur again. There are a few potential causes for this and one of the more common is a solvent like IPA coming in contact with the tank. Is it possible that this was the case here?
It is unlikely that IPA was the cause in this instance. We suspect the problem is due to the resin tray issue that sometimes requires you to give it a slight anticlockwise twist in order to seat it and align it properly. We had a lot of difficulty aligning the tray the last time it was removed and the position of the crack and the direction of the split all point to this as a potential cause.
thank you for following up.
