It doesn’t happen often, but when it does…
I recently took my PC offline completely to open the case and do the annual dust-off cleaning. Never having the need to label all the cables I hooked everything back up according to plug type.
I go to print this morning and cannot figure out why it won’t send to the printer. About a quarter of an hour later (after many forms of language not repeatable here) I discover a very light gray “broken link” symbol appearing over the orange butterfly.
DAMN, I mean DARN. Apparently my PC has a special USB port for the USB II required for the printer. Move the printer USB over and presto, it’s printing once again.
To reduce the frustration factor, can a future version of Preform include the orange butterfly turning RED when the USB link is broken?
thanks
