I was wondering if there is support for putting metal inserts into the part during the build. My company does a lot of insert molding and being able to prototype parts with metal inserts would be very handy.
Hi Brian,
Because parts on the Form 1 build upside down, there is no advantage to inserting metal parts in the middle of a print. It works better to glue or pressfit the metal insert into a part after it has been printed, washed, and dried. This is a really good technique to add robust metal threads to SLA parts, but you don’t need to insert them in the middle of a built.
