Excited to see a bigger printer! The specs mention nitrogen only chamber, does this printer have an integrated generator, or would we need to source that independently?
@ProtyLabs.Solutions The rule of thumb is the same as for the Fuse 1 Series: up to half the print time for a fully packed build. With the modular and insulated build unit, prints can cool outside of the printer, freeing the printer to start the next job while the last one is still cooling.
The longest print I have personally done is 52 hours in the Fuse1, which resulted in 1600 parts! I’m going to have to play around with preform and see how many I can get into the X1.
You were supposed to make a SMALLER machine… but that’s okay. Makes sense. New machine looks rad - maybe one day I’ll hit production that would need it, for now I’ll continue to tuck my Form4 in at night before I go to sleep
If we were to buy one of these, id say we would wait a year or two. Given the history of the Fuse 1 series and all its bugs at launch i will be paying close attention to this forum. Can´t imagine how complex this machine will be.
A cool little tidbit in this release is a new ability to identify a failing part and isolate it from the print. I wonder if we might see this added to the fuse1 at some point.
Will there be an option in Preform to have a play around with the build chamber packing? Would be incredibly keen to see what is possible with a build chamber of this size with some of our larger parts that the Fuse+1s struggle with.
Print intelligence sadly wont be coming to Fuse 1/1+ - the advancements in thermal sensing on the Fuse X1 that make Adaptive Thermal Control possible are also what makes Print Intelligence possible. Of course the Fuse 1/1+ has computer vision as well to automatically stop your builds upon early signs of failure.
