I’ve never come across a program before PreForm that takes quite so long with re-installing drivers, nor drivers that all interfere with my video output (my screen goes blank 3~4 times while installing the latest version of PreForm).
Is this something that really is required? Have you had your software team look at this at all?
Alternatively, have you considered implementing a way to do version updates while I’m not trying to use the machine? I want to always be on the latest version but I want to not have to think about it. I’ve forgotten to start a number of overnight prints because I wanted to update first but the update process takes too many back and forth steps and I always get distracted. These steps just seem superfluous to me.
