Just got my formlabs 4 yesterday, i’ve had not so good luck in the past with other machines on arrival, maybe im being paranoid, is the latch (the grey clip) supposed to be off-center like this? When I close the black latch everything seems to be secure and lock. Would just like an answer since its brand new. Thanks!

@yuyh2018 Thank you for contacting us here at Formlabs. I am sorry to see the latch looks to be a little off center. This could be due to shipping. I would like to offer you some steps to tighten this.
1. Locate the “Drawbar” on the underside of the Build Platform carriage. See attached picture for reference.
2. Tighten the 4mm hex bolt on the drawbar a half a degree
3. Test the Build Platform to make sure it latches in place, doesn’t wobble, and can’t be pulled out without unlatching it.
4. If the Build Platform is still loose, repeat steps 2-3 until you get a good fit.
- If after you take these steps and the little metal latch is still off center,5. please reach out to us and we can troubleshoot with you further.
I’ve already done a few prints and everything came out perfect, its all secured and wont come off.
I just want to double check, that grey clip is supposed to be completely centered, correct?
