Some tips I’ve learned printing with the Form 4 at an Orthodontic practice. Feel free to share some more tips and tricks if you have any
PREHEATING
Need to preheat at specific times? Turn on preheating by navigating to the Settings>Configuration>Resin Preheating on the Form 4 screen. Then, to force preheating whenever you want it, just tell the printer that you removed the build plate and added it back in on the main screen. For whatever reason, the Form 4 only preheats once everything is put in place, and never again, but you can trick it this way with minimal effort.
CLEANING THE QUICK-RELEASE BUILD PLATE
Cleaning the quick-release build plate? Is it tearing away at your rags or holding on to paper towel debris? After wiping it clean, spray it with more alcohol and air-dry/blow-dry it. The paper towel debris will be weighed down by the alcohol temporarily, giving it just enough weight to blow away instead of holding on.
WASH UNIT TIP
Don’t bother filling to the 7L line or any higher if you don’t plan on making models larger than your fist. 7L is just enough for plenty of it to splash on top of the build plate (at its lowest mounting configuration), making for more work to clean up. Instead, if you fill it to only about 85-90% of the 7L mark, you will still get really effective cleaning of the build plate and models without splashing dirty, resin-filled alcohol all over the build plate plastics on top.
