Hi
was wondering if anyone tried to cast Grey or Black resin…
I still find the grey resin to have smoother surface at 50 micron then castable wax at 25 micron…
thanks!
I have never tried casting either one but I am doubtful that you’d get the results you are looking for. I have had the same experience with the castable wax resin. The surface quality is workable and I have had lots of good castings after dialing in the process. Purple resin is good for one off designs here and there but for production I much prefer to make rtv molds directly from printed models in Grey resin. I could not be happier with the waxes that come out of the molds. All the surface detail is there and casting wax is and will always be easier and faster than resin.
Hi
Can you tell me a bit more about the burnout process of the gray resin?
