My company is looking to try these out and understands the additional costs/time involved. But I’d like to hear from anyone with experience using these new resins before I request authorization to order the resin and additional equipment needed. Anyone care to share their experience with either or both of these resins?

Thanks.

Hi @DSMT and those seeing this post, FYI after careful consideration and user feedback we have made the decision to sunset PU Rigid resins. [You can learn more about it here](https://forum.formlabs.com/t/sunsetting-pu-rigid-650-and-pu-rigid-1000-resin/44395), but essentially the additional cost/time and complex workflow that you noted increased outcome variability in a way that we didn’t see was in the best interest of our customers.

Depending on your application, we encourage these two workflows as alternative workflows:

- **SLA Master** : Print an SLA master and use it to [make a silicone mold](https://formlabs.com/blog/how-to-make-silicone-molds/?srsltid=AfmBOoovz1QCUhpX8qGQ1n87ymt3X3tqYbbpVbRJ2dRofEA9SN3I5rO5) for casting PU parts.

- **Silicone Mold** : Print molds directly using our [Silicone 40A Resin](https://formlabs.com/store/materials/silicone-40a-resin).

cheers,
Diana
